Homeless Ministries

Family Bridge - We are one in a rotation of churches sheltering homeless families with children for one week, every other month.  Sign up to volunteer online at http://www.volunteerspot.com/login/entry/43778428042.

SOS Severe Weather Shelter - A winter shelter housed at Sonrise Church and staffed by volunteers from several area churches, including ours.

HomePlate - A non-profit project with homeless youth and young adults, housed in our church and originally started by our high school youth.

Habitat for Humanity - In the recent past we partnered with other UCC congregations to build a house for a family in need.

Refugee sponsorship - We have recently sponsored a couple from Iraq and, in the past, have sponsored a Baha’i family from Iran and a Muslim family from Bosnia.

Interfaith Committee on Homelessness - Includes representation from our church to seek systemic solutions to the problems which cause and prolong homelessness.
